The Geometry and Discrete (MGA4U) course has been delivered seven times through the Contact North/Contact Nord network since February 2003. This course has successfully served the needs of the students enrolled in the MGA4U course. The following table relates the achievement data from all course offerings.
| Students starting the MGA4U course | Students that completed the MGA4U course | Students that successfully completed the MGA4U course |
|---|---|---|

The Geometry and Discrete course has, therefore, had a completion rate of 79% and a success rate of 100%. The course median mark over the entire population that completed the Geometry and Discrete Mathematics course is 77%.
The Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus (MCB4U) course has been delivered seven times through the Contact North/Contact Nord network since February 2004. This course has successfully served the needs of the students enrolled in the MCB4U course. The following table relates the achievement data from all course offerings.
| Students starting the MCB4U course | Students that completed the MCB4U course | Students that successfully completed the MCB4U course |

The Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus course has, therefore, had a completion rate of 95% and a success rate of 99%. The course median mark over the entire population that completed the Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus course is 67%.
The following statistics refer to the old curriculum Calculus (MCAOA) and Algebra and Geometry (MGAOA) courses.
The distance courses, Calculus (MCAOA) and Algebra and Geometry (MAGOA), were very successful in providing excellent learning opportunities for Northern Ontario learners. The justification for this statement is found in the statistics below.
The Algebra and Geometry course was delivered by distance 21 times from February, 1994 to January, 2003.
| Students starting the MAGOA course | Students that completed the MAGOA course | Students that successfully completed the MAGOA course |
|---|---|---|
| 223 |

The Algebra and Geometry course has, therefore, had a historical completion rate of 82% and a success rate of 95%. The course median mark over the entire population that completed the Algebra and Geometry course is 75%.
The Calculus course was been delivered by distance 14 times from October, 1996 to June 2003.
| Students starting the MCAOA course | Students that completed the MCAOA course | Students that successfully completed the MCAOA course |
|---|---|---|
| 157 |

Note: Students starting these courses includes all students that stayed in the courses for atleast 5 classes (i.e. they wrote the first test). Any student that only attended a couple of classes is not included in this statistic. The rational for this criteria is that if someone attends only a class or two he/she isn't in the course long enough to reasonably judge the value of this method of distance learning.
The Calculus course has had a historical completion rate of 75% and a success rate of 97% since its inception in the Fall of 1996. The course median mark over the entire population that completed the Calculus course is 76%.
